It’s that time of year! Benefits Annual Enrollment begins August 19th.

This year, it is mandatory to take action. You must enroll or decline benefits during Annual Enrollment.

The Annual Enrollment Period is from August 19th through August 30th. If you do not take action, you will not have benefits on October 1st!

Annual Enrollment is the one time of year when you can make changes to your health insurance plans. There are no packets mailed out to your home address. Information, plan summaries and rates are available for your review Below.

Live Webinars and live Q&A sessions will be hosted this year to go over all the changes and to provide additional information about each of the benefits available to you. Please make the time to attend one of the webinars sessions to understand how this changes may affect you directly. What’s Changing This Year? 

  • This year enrollment will active and required, which means that if you do not take action, you will not have any benefits on October 1st.
  • New Medical plan choices are available, including an option with a Health Savings Account (HSA). HSA contributions will be made by Sonny’s as well as your own contributions and they can be used at any time and roll over from year to year. HSA funds can also be invested.
  • New Dental & Vision Carrier United Healthcare is taking over dental and vision beginning October 1, 2024. You will now have access to view your medical, dental, and vision benefits all through myuhc.com. Refer to our Annual Enrollment website for more details on this change and how it will affect you.
  • New Voluntary benefits with proactive claim payments! United Healthcare will now be our solution for Accident, Hospital, and Critical Illness protection and, when you enroll in our UHC medical plan(s), UHC will proactively look for medical claims that qualify for payouts from your voluntary plan and in many cases will send the benefit payment to you automatically!
  • Life Insurance and Disability Benefits will remain the same, no changes for our 2024/2025 policy year. Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is required for new enrollment. If you are currently enrolled, you may increase your coverage in increments of $10,000 without EOI. Anything above will required EOI.
  • Enrollment for FSA will be in November. Employee contribution elections DO NOT automatically renew. You are required to enroll if you want coverage for 2025. A separate email will go out announcing the enrollment period for FSA.
